Photo albums are where our pictures of the past dwell. Digital photography has transformed the traditional way of keeping pictures in albums made of board, paper and plastic into a high-tech one. Now, we can share our photos to anybody in any country through the Internet.

One of the most famous digital albums is probably the travel photo album. Some sites provide the avenue for you to set up a travel journal where you can post notes and upload your travel pictures.

Their system enables you to choose from having your album viewed by a limited number of people or have it accessed by anybody who wants to drop in and look. Yahoo Photos even allows you to send e-mails to contacts in your address book whenever you upload new photos. Neat huh?

Having an album on the Web enables you to share your photos with friends wherever they may be. It can even serve as a means to gain new friends who stop by and view your virtual photo album. Storing your pictures online does not mean you should do away with creating traditional picture albums. Think of it this way - online albums offer another creative medium for you to share moments of your life anytime, anywhere to anybody.
